Yelena Isinbayeva BiographyYelena is a Russian pole vaulting professional. Yelena won the Olypmic Gold Medal twice, once in 2004 and once in 2008. The IAAF has named her the Female Athlete of the Year three times, in 2004, 2005 and 2008. Laureus named her the Worlds Sportswoman of the Year in 2007 and 2009. Many consider Yelena to be the great women pole vaulter of all time due to her many accomplishments.

Yelena Isinbayeva BiographyBy the time she was 27 she had become a 9 time major champion; this includes European in-door & out-door, Olympics and World in-door and out-door. She became the first woman in history on July 22, 2005 to clear the 5 meters barrier in the vaulting event. She holds the world record of 5.06 meters that was set on August 28th, 2009 in Zurich.
